The most recent project was a collaboration between Teva x Sean Wotherspoon, vintage clothing guru and cultural tastemaker. My partner Jonathan Posadas and I helped bring Sean and Teva together, then led the creative development of the collaboration—from concept to execution—resulting in three standout footwear designs released in both the U.S. and Japan.
Alongside building the concept and campaign, I documented Sean Wotherspoon’s creative process as it unfolded—capturing spontaneous, behind-the-scenes moments that revealed how the ideas came to life. Those candid moments became social content for Teva, helping extend the story beyond the launch and giving audiences an authentic window into the collaboration.
Inspired by conversations with Sean, we built a far-out story about futuristic space cowboys discovering Earth. I developed characters based on archival Teva imagery, then turned those drawings into full-scale mascot costumes. We directed photo and video shoots featuring the creatures wearing the footwear, bringing the world to life through movement and humor.
The character creation process began with hand-drawn sketches and illustrations, which were then translated into fully realized, three-dimensional forms. Seeing these drawings come to life was surreal—made possible by collaborating with a Hollywood film costume designer who helped engineer the characters with both visual impact and movement in mind.
What truly elevated the characters was the talent inside the suits. We worked with some of Los Angeles’ best up-and-coming stunt performers, who brought an unexpected level of athleticism to the work—tumbling, flipping, and moving through the world with parkour-inspired energy that gave the characters real personality and presence.
There’s nothing quite like seeing a product you’ve lived with for months finally exist in the real world. After pouring thought, energy, and detail into every stage of the process, experiencing the work in a retail environment is both grounding and rewarding.
The film and photo assets we created for SW x Teva carried directly into the online retail experience at teva.com.
By extending the campaign visuals into the shop, the product lived inside the same interstellar world—reinforcing the story and turning the online store into an immersive, otherworldly shopping experience.
