The energy inside the “war room” was electric—real-time search data streaming in from Google, while a tight crew of writers, art directors, and animators pulled the most interesting queries and turned them into sharp, provocative animations. We worked all day as the Games unfolded live, translating what the world was Googling into visuals that captured the essence of each STORY.
Using simple animated characters called “Googins,” we distilled thousands of real-time insights into 170 of-the-moment stories. Published across multiple Google channels, the work surfaced directly in feeds as people searched those very topics—meeting curiosity in real time.
